Stages of Esophageal Cancer

Stage-I: In this stage, the cancer affects only the cells found on the layers of the alimentary canal.

Stage – IV: By this stage, cancer cells affect almost all the organs of the stomach. It has completely spread to the alimentary canal as well as the lymph nodes.

Endoscopy   Endoscopy is done with the help of a flexible tube. It is a flexible tube with a camera at one end and the first end inserted into the patient’s mouth. Endoscopy is done in just 2 to 3 minutes. After an endoscopy, the patient can function like normal days. In such cases, patients should not panic with the endoscopy examination. Biopsy – This test is done to know the type of cancer. In this, the doctor writes the test to the patient to find out the size of the tumor, in which a small piece of cancer cells is taken with the help of endoscopy and it is ingested.
