The corona virus (COVID-19) infection from China has now spread to more than 145 countries. People around the world are trying their best to protect themselves from infection. Here we are giving you some measures as per the guidelines given by the World Health Organization and the Union Ministry of Health, through which you can keep your respiratory system clean and prevent the infection from spreading, especially if you are sick.

Cleanliness measures of respiratory system:

1. Cover your mouth

You should cover your mouth everytime when you sneeze or cough. If you have a cold or cough, you should definitely cover your mouth. This is the best way to prevent infection. Also, while coughing and sneezing, stop your mouth with your elbow. Avoid using handkerchiefs as it becomes a place for breeding bacteria and viruses. COVID-19 spreads through the drops and thus, whenever you sneeze or cough, it is best to cover your nose and mouth.

2. Use tissue paper

Always carry some tissue paper with you whenever you go out. Stop sneezing or coughing in tissue and destroy it in a safe place. Using a tissue is a better option than a handkerchief, as tissue can be thrown away, thus preventing bacteria / viruses from spreading. After throwing away the used tissue, you should always wash your hands with soap or use a sanitizer.

3. Keep distance

Whenever you cough or sneeze, a few drops come out of the mouth or nose, which may contain the virus. If you are infected, stay away from others. If you are near an infected person, then you should stay away from it. With this you can stop the virus. The good way to avoid this condition is to maintain a distance of at least 1 m from anyone in a crowded place. If you are suffering from cough or cold, you should wear a mask to prevent it from spreading.

4. Avoid touching the mouth and nose repeatedly

Our hands touch surfaces several times throughout the day. We inadvertently touch our face, rub our eyes and touch our noses with those dirty hands. By doing this, it becomes easier for the virus to enter your body. To protect yourself from COVID-19, you should avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes while being alert. Wash your hands at regular intervals throughout the day. Avoid visiting crowded places and try to stay in quarantine for a few days to keep coronovirus under control.
